This is penny, a 7 year old female black and white cat who was being very affectionate. Recorded her in the bathroom purring and rubbing on the mic. 50 second in, i put the mic up to her chest while purring. Then at 1 and a half mins, i recorded her drinking water out of the sink. Hopefully someone finds good use for her sounds. I can always get more, and her brother as well.

This is the sound of brownyan noise, made with audacity program. Stereo of this noise created with amplitude at the default value, also with fade in and out effects added for the good results. Using headphones is the best way to hear low frequencies of this noise. Also this sound can be use for tinnitus problems or masking unwanted noises. Searched everywhere for this sound and was astonished not to find it. Very basic slap of the bare palm over the opening of an empty glass bottle, while holding the bottle in the other hand. It is noon, very hot and sunny and millions of crickets are chirping. In the distance, some goat-bells can be heard, otherwise the place is deserted. Recorded with a zoom h2. This file contains the rear channels, recorded with 120° dispersion.

This is a (-nother) synthetic soundscape i did some years ago, reminiscent of a wide, enclosed, dark cavern, very good for subtly underlaying film scenes playing in appropriate locations. Originally, it is a recording of me blowing on a beer-bottle, captured by a sennheiser condenser mic, and then receiving some attention by the yamaha multi-effects generator in my university back then. I still like and use it a lot today.

Very strong sounding grasshopper. When i rode home from work at 11 a. M. I heard a strong sounding grasshopper in a neighbor's busch i run into my house and picked up my recorder and mic and run out tried coming closest possible for good sound, but it was a little too close because the hopper become silent. A rifle being dropped on the floor 3 times. Very metallic-y sounding drop sound with tons of bass. This one was sort of a happy accident. I was recording some ak foley with an airsoft gun i had when i accidentally dropped it. The sound it made turned out so good that i ended up using it for this. I actually really like how this turned out. Crediting me isn't required if you decide to use my sound, but it would be greatly appreciated if you do!.

A light thunderstorm in carrboro, nc. Not too much wind or heavy rain, but some very good thunder claps. As the thunder slowly fades away, some distant traffic and a siren can be heard. Recorded on a zoom h2. This was uploaded as vorbis instead of flac or wav because it's quite long but i thought people might find it useful to have the whole thing. Some intelligent de-clipping was also performed in audacity to remove some slight distortion from the loudest claps.

This is a recording i made on sunday november 4th 2012 of the gentle, droning sounds of insects that were singing in a marshy area near the shore of a small lake. This is a very typical ambiance of autumn in the southern portion of illinois. If you listen carefully, you'll hear another very typical fall sound, the cry of blue jays in the heavy woods which surround this lake. One of my favorite sound-scapes. I made this with my rugged and dependable handy zoom h4n recorder, using its built-in microphones. I literaly had it sitting on a small log only about 15 feet from the water's edge. Because the insects were not very loud, i did have to crank up my record volume to 86 on the scale of 100; this means you will hear a little bit of slight wind rumble, but all-in-all i think the recording paints a good picture of the early autumn landscape and everything slows down and winds down for the bitter winter ahead. A nice wet-themed ambiance of early spring in a small midwestern town in the us. The spring peepers dominate, always in the background. The american toads trill off and on (:38----1:04, 2:09-----2:31, 5:50----6:07, 6:25----6:40)there is also a distant dog bark, with echo at 3:31. Distant car horn at 3:57. Since this was recorded on a busy weeknight at 7pm, a lot of distant car doors and people picking up and dropping off kiddos for basketball practice, choir practice and other ancient extracurricular activities. There is a particularly good door open and slam and muted conversations at 6:43 to 6:56 and again at 7:17stereo recording made on thursday night march 29th, 2018 using a sound devices 702 and an audiotechnica bp4025 stereo microphone. The original was recorded at the very high sample rate of 196hz. Enjoy a town winding down and internalizing on a cold, drippy wet night in either very late winter, or very early spring.

Hi. This is a loop of aurora colorado'sold whelen wps-3016 system test. The city had 3016's, and wps-2810's. They did the wail tone for 3 minutes, and the whoop tone for 30 seconds. This is a one sycle loop of the wail tone. You can hear the other sirens in the system in the background, as well as some very excited dogs that where barking during the whole test. I don't know the exact location of this siren. Also, the system has been removed and replaced with new whelens a couple of years ago. They had a yellow wps-3016 in the sistem hope you like it. Better set on monoaural on your daw if possible due to the off-center recording. Having been a bit ill on some rich iron content food i couldn't stomach (offal it was, it was the sheep fried liver who was the culprit - the very rich iron content upset my stomach pretty bad - was looking for something "new". ). Keep in mind that i am unable to do this as a request for obvious reasons including health, livelihood and risk of damage to equipment. I tried very hard to avoid shaking the zoom as not to make the wobbling sounds. If i am ill again, i'll use my ma-2 (microphone stick) and gravity microphone stand and get a real good recording of real vomiting but keep in mind this was recorded in my showerroom so some er may occur.

About 2. 5 minutes of ambient audio recorded at the hurunui jacks campground adjacent to the kaniere river near hokitika on the west coast of new zealand. This is an inland tropical rain-forest setting. There are lots of insect sounds, birds, and the sound of the river (not very prominent) in the background. No other sounds captured (no cars, airplanes, honking horns, people talking, etc). Would be good to use for a camp scene ambient in a similar location, nature scene, etc. Recorded with a zoom h1.

When i first tested out my zoom h5 i began talking into the mic and then all of a sudden i needed a sneeze. I was about to stop the recording but then thought it would be good to record the sneeze to see how it handled my loudness. Well it coped very well and the recording came out perfect!so, here it is. I don't know what combination of (free (as in beer)) vsts, ni komplete audio 2 interface, and behringer pro~1 synth produced this but i thought it was very soothing and definitely worth sampling!. The bass note at the beginning is f# if you want to use that as well ;). Was going to wait to upload a samplepack after i finish these 3 albums/compilations but this is just too good to sit on. Note to would-be producers: this is what mindset you get into after burning the candle at both ends buyer beware :upside_down_face:.

A simple multi-sampled synthetic spacebass pack, containing 25 samples, derived from 2 octaves of a home made soft-synth patch. The original quality was 24 bits with a sample rate of 88. 2khz, which i converted with a very good src to 16 bits and 44. 1khz. Not that is was that important after all considering the fact that the patch itself has a grainy character in the higher frequencies. . . No compressing, equalizing whatsoever involved, the panning is pretty wide tho, with left and right sounding rather different, but in stereo it still feels pretty balanced i think.

Music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt. Use it to whatever you want. I think the melody on the piano is a bit haunting, ghostly and suits very good in thrillers, horrors for instance. Hope you like it!. My childhood piano, an old german upright. Recorded using a studio projects b3 condenser mic through a presonus tubepre into an akai mpc1000. Mic'd from the top with the lid up, closer to the bass end. The piano is old and slightly out of tune, with a crack in the soundboard. The only processing was with analogx autotune to tune the samples, which did a very good job. Sampled 3 notes per octave so each sample only needs to be tuned + or - a semitone to span the whole range. It is a dark and moody sounding, a lot of character but in now way "pristine".

This is a stereo recording of an exterior glass and metal door on a university campus in new jersey, usa. There are several articulations of the door here that lend themselves to creature and robot noises. There is a whimper and a sigh and a screech as well as some ticking and clicking. This reminded me very much of baby godzilla type noises. I've put these into iris 2 and had a good time making synth patches with them. Stereo recording at 48khz 24bit on a tascam d-40x using the internal microphones.

I wanted to find a good creative commons 0 sound effect of fingernails scratching on a wooden surface but i could find the exact thing i was looking for. So i recorded myself scratching my bedroom door with my fingernails using a recording app on my phone and edited it in audacity to remove breathing sounds, and to make the sound feel more heavy/deep, including some very faint reverb. Since i really wanted this i thought it might be useful for someone else! i hope someone else out there like me finds this somewhat useful. Theres a bit of a clicking noise at the end - i think from the recording process.

Around 15 minutes of a fireworks show i went to. You can hear many different types of fireworks go off, with crackling, explosions, bangs, booms, etc. In this. There are people and kids talking and laughing in the background throughout many parts due to this being a public event, which may be good or bad depending on what you would like to use this for. The fireworks were not very far away, which means that they do sound close. I even got covered in some ash during the experience. You do not need to credit me for this sound, use it how you like.

Some more of that young sounding couple next door. Got some loud moans on this one. At 0:36 is the sound of a door close. At 0:44 you can hear the woman say "well let's make out, what do you think of this?"they were probably already started you know before it got to 2:00. Those silent parts have a bits of very soft pleasure noises that are hard to hear, but it's there. Passed 7:15 is where you can start to hear some clear sex noises of them, that's where all the good parts begin. Passed 10:00 is where the couple finishes their pleasure. This was shorten and edit with audacity.

. A very mellow and ambient music loop. Completely seamless. It has a horrid start because of the whole seamless loop stuff, please read further down. . . The piano piece is one of orangefreesounds' many beautiful looping piano melodies. I added some effects and an ambient mellotron using the free, but stunning redtron se vst instrument, which uses recorded samples of a real mellotron. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic mellotron sound. . . Please excuse the rough start, the reason why it sounds so weird is because it is a prefect loop, that means that everything, including all the effects, loops perfectly. What you hear in the very start is the reverb and delay effects from the end carrying over to the start. It will sound completely seamless once looped!. . It might not sound good as a preview, so i recommend to download and listen to it on your own device, as the website has a bad habit of compressing and adding a bunch of annoying squeaking sounds to the audio. .

For free use. This is file for creating deep ambiance. Just mix that sound with other ambiance sound (on free sound there is at least a million such sounds. . . Like noice. . Like thunder rain. . . Like station. . . Like people tallk and so far. . . ). It works best with noises or other deep sounds. I think if you add a little bit of that sound to other audio file you can get very spezial sound for ambiante. I will add similar sound as a only vocal too. Made from taking two large atx (the form factor, the chassis) computer panels (that i havent used in quite some time), rubbing the entirety of them together quite brashly (one is on the ground), keeping the recorder on xy setup in my other hand in unison then dropping them onto each other. Inside of reaper, i begin changing the rate and pitching them down and applied saturation, distortion and reverberation gave them a very clean effect of a decrepit gate shutting down. Good for trapping your enemies in a battle to the death for which the title is inspired from; one of those tension moments a person in a film/game finds themselves in.

A recording i made in may of 2013 as i was trying to get a good recording of the wonderful wood thrush recorded. You can still faintly hear the wood thrush in the background, but the nice surprise on this recording is the very clear, bubbling, trilling call of a proud little chipping sparrow. This recording was carefully made using my homemade parabolic reflector microphone. (*using my trusty rode ntg-2), and going into my handy zoom h4n recorder. I wanted to get as accurate a recording as possible so i bumped up the bit rate to 96 kpbs. I know it makes for a larger file, but i think it is worth it.

A peaceful, drowsy-ish recording of a midwestern usa large field bordered by heavy forest. This was recorded in mid summer, on a very hot day. Temperature was 90 degrees, but, with 45% humidity it was manageable. The good thing about this recording is i was far enough away from humanity's engines to get no cars, no boats, no loud. . . . Anything. Well, except the insect chorus. This is the time of year in illinois that autumn is getting imperceptibly closer. The skies are clearer blue with less humidity. . . A few trees had red leaves. Nature taking a breather. Recorded at 2:30pm on thursday august 26, 2022 using a mixpre 6 recorder. Left channel: rode nt5 cardioid microphone. Right channel: sennheiser mkh 416 microphone.

Underhood recording of my renault 19 with oldish carburetted cleon engine (c2j). Double barrel webber 32 drt carb ~72ps engine. Start engine, tire skid, hard acceleration up to 6000 rpm and coast down to idle, several times. Throttle blips up to 7000 rpm. Mic: sony ecm-ds30p stereorecorder: sony mz-n707 mini disc, sp mode, agc: off. Wanted to test this cheap mic and custom made windscreen - this is my first car recording, and that's why i started with this cheap microphone, don't want to learn on expensive stuff. Still, i'm amazed how the recording turned out, it's $24 mic in not very silent area, yet it captured sound rather nicely. Windscreen (cost $0) turned out to be not that good :).

I just recorded this on my phone whilst i was chilling in the conservatory atont the back of my house. . . The heavens literlly opened for a very heavy shower of. . . You will hear the rain on the roof and i move the phone closer and further away from the roof so to get a good soundrange. . I also open the door and let the recording pick up the natural outside showering and rain gushing over the gutters hitting the patio and back step. . I recorded these sounds in three different offices. This is the result of them mixed, because i had an order for a sound like that for a film that was a scene of a noisy office as well, because it had many people working together. The recording was very good, was originally obtained on a machine with 8 channels of 8 large diaphragm microphones positioned to cover all recording environments. -----------------------gravei esses sons em tres escritórios diferentes. Has a bit of the 'decimate' bitcrusher (sylenths', and i also added a bass amp in logic to fatten the sound up, its played in g. I always name my loops with the first letter on its key hence the name ghost chord=) , and is a loop made at 128bpm. Feel free to use it in any of your works + more importantly let me know why you like it?i take quite some time into adding details in my sounds. I find making a loop can be very good for tuning your ears & production techniques, because like an artist if your painting something small u add a lot more detail. I recorded this today (1/12/23) from atlanta, where we had a bunch of heavy rain and tornado warnings this afternoon. The radio station i recorded this from is am 750. The first part of the recording isn't very interesting, but the part where she started talking about how you can't see any tornados coming was really interesting to me. I think this would make for some really good ambience in like an environmental horror track. I decided to include the whole recording anyways in case anyone wanted it. Here's the backstory to this thingey if anyone really wants it:we were on tornado watch as i was speeding trying to get home from work, when the sirens started to go off. I had to pull into a disheveled looking parking garage, as that was the closest place i could get to. The garage only had one level, so i had no way of getting to lower ground. I sat there in my car, terrified that i might be stuck there, in a shitty parking deck, in the middle of a giant ass storm, with very little cell signal, for hours on end. I decided to turn on my radio and record it from my phone. Fortunately, i was only in there for 30 minutes, and i managed to get home after the rain cleared up a bit.

The new hope & ivyland railroad is located in new hope, pennsylvania, usa. Basically, it's a tourist railroad that gives visitors the experience of riding in an old fashioned train. You take a short trip out (too short in my opinion) and a short trip back to the station. Since i wanted clean sound, my wife decided to surprise me by paying for the private seats on the very back (outside) of the train. Think of old pictures of presidents waving from the rear of a moving train. . . That place!. So, with zoomh4n pro in hand, i recorded the entire trip from station to station. There's lots of good, old fashioned, clickity-clackity track in this one. A rarity these days as most tracks are now put down with out breaks for miles at a time. Enjoy!. Christopher.

Let me set the scene for this audio because i am a nerd. . . Burbank, california. A large apartment/condominium complex with an open courtyard and a swimming pool and hot tub. Now, for some reason in la, nobody ever seems to actually use pools or hot tubs anymore so it's not hard to get clean audio. So, from beginning to end you will basically hear me turn the automatic shutoff dial on the wall, walk to the hot tub, get in the hot tub, and sit in various positions for extended periods of time. I was alone for the entire experience (wife was at work) and nobody joined. It's very clean audio and safe for all production. Recorded on 11/20/2018 in burbank, ca. Enjoy,. Christopher c. Courter.

My first upload! this sound i made using the zmors synth on my ipad air2 - i used audiobus which is a great routing software allowing many of a lot of awesome sounding synths that are now on ipad and can be played professionally via a usb keyboard controller (very handy for gigging) okay this is getting too wordy. . . I used audiobus overall with zmors in the first slot being routed through the wonderful aufx eq app in the center (effects) slot then ran the most useful of all ---> audioshare app in the 3rd or output slot to record it all. . . Keep in mind that the number of devices you can run in these three slots is virtually limitless - as much as your device can handle so you can get really nuts with several synths, a drum machine, etc all routing to the middle (fx) stop in the chain and picking up a fat 3 or 4 nice sounding effects devices then on to output to audioshare or you can now use just audioshare as host and run zmors in it directly (and probably more smoothly). I chose zmors because on a couple of other ipads (ipad mini, ipad 2 especially, and ipad air a little bit) i was noticing that it was a resource hog and was not playing correctly or there was a huge lag in the latency so with the new(er) ipad air 2 i wanted to hear the zmors synth and it really is an underappreciated majestic sounding beast if you ask me. I am going to experiment further with it as the unique architecture and just the way it sounds is totally different from any other synth i've yet to hear on ipad or in general. It kind of reminds me of a fatter, more modern. Sequential circuits 6 track. Which i've had a couple of and have a thick layered sound - kind of like a really nice turkey sandwich with a good portion of swiss cheese then you notice that there's still some roast beef left and put a good amount of that between bread as well. Hell, that's a sandwich that's gonna be filling! thanks for reading.

This is my recreation of the noise in the background of a video shot on a consumer grade minidv camcorder (a well used one). I haven't had a minidv camcorder on hand for a few years and nobody i knew would give me a recording of just tape motor noise so i went to create the noise myself. This sound is a combination of a very badly pressed dvd in my computer's drive mixed with a tone made in audacity (up one octave from the tone that the disc ended up creating), all mixed down and brought down in volume. I know it's not a prefect recreation, but i don't have a minidv camcorder on hand so this is about as good as i can get it. If anyone has access to an anechoic chamber, a fresh tape, and a well used consumer grade minidv camcorder, please get in touch with me. I'd like the real deal better than my recreation that i did in my spare time. Note on recreating the noise out of hdv camcorders.
